Here's something fun -- Audible.Com for downloading a huge variety of audiobooks. It's like bedtime stories for grownups ... or, if you have long commutes, what could be better to help you pass the time than listening to great books? Fiction ... history ... commentary ... classic literature ... whatever you please! Ain't technology grand?
My current obsession: Homer's "Iliad" read by the great British actor Derek Jacobi. Wow! It's like having your very own bard on your laptop/iPod/mp3 player, ready to regale you with story whenever you please! (He also did the audiobook for "The Odyssey." That'll be next! Plus some J.R.R. Tolkien read by none other than Christopher Lee!)
