Hm. "A press release says writer Whit Anderson has an exciting new take on the character." Methinks Mr. Anderson is pretty much taking his career out on the high wire here.
I kinda think it's too soon for a 're-imagining' of this character; Batman had been around for something like 30 years before Miller gave us the Dark Knight. But what do I know?
Also, I was surprised to know Dolly Parton, via Sandollar Productions, had some stake in it earlier.

Well, it is worrisome that Whedon is not involved. But then again, Whedon was involved with Doll House, which was awful IMO.
If Buffy returns--especially if Sarah Michelle Geller plays the role--I will watch it whether or not Whedon is involved.
They are creating this for the Twilight crowd. The horror.
