Disgustingly Cute: A Tiny Predator Practices

Look at this adorable little owl!  It's practicing its hunting technique.  Practice makes perfect, grasshoppah.

Owl in Japanese is a fun word - fukurou. フクロウ is how it's normally written, in Japanese script. 梟 is the actual Chinese character for it. 不苦労, a homonym, means roughly the equivalent of 'no sweat,' or 'no worries,' though I suppose a literalist might make it 'no anxieties in life.' Because of this last, the owl has become a popular image in Japan.
