Taiwanese Envoys Arrive in China

Guess who's coming to dinner.

The delegation from Taiwan will sit down with mainland officials for the first formal talks in almost 10 years. This is a pretty big deal.

It's time for a little careful observation -- and also time to see how badly the media screws up the analysis.

Let's see, the first paragraph makes the statement ...

"...the sides that have had no scheduled transport links between them in 59 years."

Gee, I have flown between Taiwan and mainland China several times, in both directions. My plane tickets showed this 'schedule' clearly.

So what in the hell is CNN talking about? How do I ask our 'free and open press' to explain these nutty statements?

Just taking their usual "proper gander" on International affairs I recon.

Oh Brave New World with such Information in it!
