Proust or pastries? With madeleines, you get both! I just splurged on a non-stick madeleine pan from Williams-Sonoma, and I am in love with the pretty little shell shapes.
Here's a recipe. It's easy, and madeleines are sooooooooooo good with a nice cup of coffee.
