Friday Fun Video + Political Humor of the Day: Obama Win Causes Obsessive Supporters to Realize How Empty Their Lives Are

This came out on November 5, but I was saving it for the "Friday Fun Video" feature this week. This Onion satire is absolutely hysterical as it takes aim at the loudest and most obsessive of the Obamacolytes.

Obama Win Causes Obsessive Supporters To Realize How Empty Their Lives Are

Whoa. This clip is absolutely unfair, unbalanced and, like, completely NOT TRUE.

...

;-)

It strikes me as a perfect coverage on what happened to the Dean supporters back then.

And it holds true if you replace "Obama" with "election campaign". I saw my post-election depression coming, but was too busy to care for something new.

On a related note: It'll save me a lot of time to abandon the Daily Show AND SNL for the next four years. As Bill Maher said on "Larry King Live":

[H]e's not stupid. He's not angry. He's not a phony. He's not fat. He's not cheating on his wife.

Who needs a jerk like that around for the next four years? Come on.

But look, he's going to be the president and we're going to have to get over our nervousness about making fun of a black person. He's not a black person. He's the president.

I don't see that happening any time soon. Not because he's black, but because he is so boring.

Btw, the funniest ONION election skit is still the piece about the no value voters: 'No Values Voters' Looking To Support Most Evil Candidate

"I like that Obama did coke and McCain probably killed some guys in Vietnam, but, you know, for me, it's just not enough"...

And I desperately want to become a member of "Citizens for a bleaker America"!!!

We shouldn't worry until they begin to walk backwards and stab themselves with knitting needles. next time everybody better go see the latest M. Night Shyamalan film, or else.

In a free society, it really is the job of the citizens to keep an eye on the leaders, and that means it is absolutely OK to make fun of the president. It doesn't matter who he/she is in terms of identity politics -- the president is fair game for comedians. It's the PRESIDENT, and what's comedy for but to make fun of authority?

The Onion's "evil" video was great fun when it came out a while back!
