Study Break: The History of the Kitten Heel

OK, so it's not my academic speciality, but it's still history, mmmmmkay?  Kitten heels are so Audrey Hepburn, aren't they?  They are adorable.  (I always feel young and cute and very like an ingénue when I wear them ... which explains why I never wear kitten heels to Nerdmoots.  It's safer to be a (perceived) femme fatale in those dangerous circles.)
