MM in the Kitchen: Homemade Sonic Cherry Limeade

You'll recall my obsession with Sonic cherry limeades. Now here's a recipe for a homemade version, courtesy of the Al Dente blog.

Cherry limeades aren't hard to make, but I think the quality of the slushy crushed ice is absolutely key to a good one. That, and lots of maraschino cherries (stems on, please) lurking in the bottom of the drink. Well, this recipe should keep me mollified (sort of).

But there's really no substitute for flying through the Sonic drive-through window with the Cine-Sib in his car, listening to music really loudly and taking the opportunity to indulge in deliciously unhealthy limeades, chili-cheese hot dogs, and tater tots. And there's just no Sonic here in Nerdworld!

(Oh, and for those of you who have siblings, this should come as no surprise. Occasionally the Cine-Sib will call me just to report cheerfully that he's gotten a big Route 44 Sonic Cherry Limeade, easy ice. That's plain cruel! While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it? *wink for the movie fans*)
