Stephen Waguespak, one of Jindal's top aides, said his boss sets a tone by insisting on solutions that can be quantified, and then checking to see the result. People soon learn that they cannot go to Jindal with a long discussion about all the obstacles to getting things done, Waguespak said.
That was one of the first lessons learned by the governor's chief of staff, Timmy Teepell, when he went to work for Jindal years ago. The first time Teepell came to Jindal with a problem, Jindal told him he wasn't paying Teepell to bring him problems, but to bring him solutions. That mindset eventually permeated Jindal's Cabinet and response team.
I like! A LOT!
