Soccer/football fans, rejoice! The FIFA World Cup tournament begins in South Africa! Soccer's never been as big an obsession in the US as it is just about, well, everywhere else, but you can still follow along. It's the biggest sporting event in the world! (Maybe you'll forgive me for trading in my library-raiding nerd credentials so I can be a soccer babe for a few weeks ... even if the Nerd Lords won't!)
This brings me to this, the best World Cup-related advertisement I've seen yet! Check out this awesomely epic, 3-minute-long ad (jam-packed with cameo appearances) by Nike. So far, 14 million people have seen it on YouTube:
