Quirky Asia Files: Japan's Weird Flavors of Ice Cream

Because nothing quite celebrates summer like a big scoop of beef tongue-flavored ice cream.

The Yokohama ice cream festival just finished, and other odd flavors included, and I quote:
cheese, octopus, prawn and a garlic variety called Dracula Premium Ice. Another favourite was flavoured with very finely sliced pieces of pearl from the traditional pearl-growing region of Japan's inland sea.
As one ice cream fan says in the report, "We like strange-tasting food," said Keiko Hashiya, 27, who had driven for nearly two hours to sample the ice creams.

Er . . . "You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream"?
